The National Research Exchange, Inc., together with its subsidiary, The National Research
Standard, Inc., (The NRE or the Firm) are committed to safeguarding the interests of our members in the event of an emergency
or significant business disruption. This Business Continuity Plan Disclosure (BCP) summarizes The NRE's effort to mitigate
risks inherent with unforeseen business interruptions. The Firm's comprehensive business continuity strategy is designed to
enable us to meet our existing obligations to our members even in the event of an emergency or significant business
disruption. This BCP is intended to comply with the rules promulgated by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority
(FINRA).
The Firm's policy with respect to Significant Business Disruptions (SBD) is to: (i) protect
and safeguard both employees' lives and firm property; (ii) make a comprehensive financial and operational assessment of the
problem(s) and determine the most effective methods of recovery; (iii) communicate with the Firm's customers and regulators
in the most expedient manner possible and provide such customers and regulators with updates as to our assessment of the SBD
and our expected recovery time frames; (iv) recover and resume business operations in the most expedient manner possible; (v)
protect, and restore as necessary, The NRS' books and records; and, (vi) allow our customers to initiate business
transactions as fast as possible.
Communication with Our Employees and Clients in the Event
of a Disruption
The safety and well-being of our employees is a vital concern. In the event of an emergency
or significant business disruption, the Firm will communicate with its employees in several different ways. General
information such as office closures and operating hours will be posted on the Firm's internal and external web sites and
similar recorded updates will play around the clock on The NRE's emergency telephone hotline. Senior managers will be
contacted directly via telephone and/or email by an automated first-alert system.
In the event of an internal and/or an external disruption to business operations, employees
could easily conduct business operations off-site — either telephonically and/or electronically — with little
operational or financial risk to either The NRE or our members.
The Firm's comprehensive business continuity strategy is designed to enable us to meet our existing obligations to our
members even in the event of an emergency or significant business disruption. In the event that this BCP is modified, the
updated document will be promptly posted on The NRE's internet web site. Alternatively, Members may obtain an updated hard
copy BCP upon request. The information contained in this disclosure is provided by The NRE for informational purposes only.
Nothing contained herein shall be construed to amend, supplement or otherwise modify any of the terms and conditions set
forth in any Member or subscription agreement with The NRE.
